Ms. Asmeret Bezabeh directs marketing and communications at the St. Louis African Chorus (SLAC). Prior to assuming this position, she served as an intern, and then a volunteer, helping with various administrative duties for the Chorus. A native Eritrean, Ms. Bezabeh graduated with a Bachelors degree in Management and Accounting from Harris-Stowe State College, St. Louis, where she won several scholastic awards, including a four-year consecutive recipient of the Board of Regent Scholarship Award. She manages the organization's multifarious secretariat, coordinates marketing, while continuing to serve as managing director at African Greetings, a fund-raising unit of the St. Louis African Chorus. "I see in the St. Louis African Chorus the potentials of an organization that will not only educate the world about Africa, but that can also help to unify Africans and African-Americans. I have been contributing my part to this goal and look forward to doing more..." she says.
